The Saint Louis University School of Social Work offers degrees in social work (BSW, MSW, PhD), applied behavior analysis (MS) and criminology/criminal justice (BS, MS). The School of Social Work is committed to social justice, excellence in education, community engagement, and research that leads to improved outcomes. The social work program was created at Saint Louis University in 1930, and U.S. News and World Report recently ranked the School in the top 20% of programs nationally.
The successful applicant will have a doctoral degree in social work or a related field, an MSW from a CSWE accredited program, two years of post-MSW practice experience, and strong teaching skills. We are open to many substantive areas, including the interdisciplinary areas within our School and College of criminology and criminal justice, applied behavior analysis, and public health. The School is expanding its online programs. Consequently, a commitment to online education is required, and online teaching experience is preferred. Applicants should also have a productive record of research publication consistent with time since earning the doctorate degree and potential to secure external research funding. Primary responsibilities for the position include conducting independent research and producing scholarship, teaching graduate and/or undergraduate courses, and providing professional, community, and university service.
