The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, & Criminal Justice invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Social Work position to begin August 15, 2017.
As an Assistant Professor of Social Work, responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate level in the areas of HBSE, policy and macro practice; research and scholarship; and service. Teaching load is competitive. It is preferred that candidates have experience teaching or can potentially teach HBSE, policy, and/or macro practice. The search is open with regard to areas of research specialization. Applicants must demonstrate or have the potential to produce scholarly research as well as teaching effectiveness.
A unit of the College of Arts & Sciences, the interdisciplinary department enrolls approximately 1000 undergraduate majors. The Social Work Program enrolls approximately 240 majors and 150 pre-social work majors. In addition to the campus location in Rochester MI, the Social Work Program is offered at the Anton Frankel Center located in Mount Clemens, Michigan.

A M.S.W. from an accredited social work program, two-years post M.S.W. experience in the social work field, & a Ph.D. in Social Work or closely related field. Applicants with ABD status will be considered if degree requirements will be completed by August 15, 2017.
