The Department of Pharmacy Practice is seeking to recruit a full-time, non-tenure track faculty member within the Practice Management Division based on our Abilene / Amarillo campus. The successful candidate will practice Disease state management clinic three (3) days per week, non-formulary and therapeutic consultations; compliance audits, quality improvement projects, and financial analysis. In addition, they will provide didactic teaching and preceptor ship of pharmacy students with TTUHSC School of Pharmacy. Practice site is Texas Department of Criminal Justice, based in Abilene & Amarillo, with local travel to regional TDCJ units.
The dynamic and growing Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Pharmacy spreads across four campuses in Amarillo, Abilene, Dallas/ Fort Worth, and Lubbock, Texas. Boasting one of the largest groups of adult medicine clinical faculty in the nation, division members located on each of our four campuses are recognized at the local, state, and national professional level. The size and diversity of the division allow significant new faculty mentorship and multiple opportunities for teaching and scholarly collaboration, both within and between the different clinical practice divisions. Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a teacher, a record of peer reviewed publication and/or peer reviewed creative activity which has contributed to the discipline or field of study, to the candidate’s intellectual and artistic development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline; promise of growth in teaching and research or artistic and creative activity
Additional Salary Information: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan.
