Position Description: Greenville College is seeking a Director of the Social Work Program. This position is three-quarters teaching and one-quarter administration.
Qualifications: Greenville College seeks a dynamic faculty member committed to professional education in a liberal arts context. An MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, with two years post-MSW practice experience is required; a terminal doctorate is preferred.
The candidate must have a vibrant Christian faith and be dedicated to teaching and advising students in a Christian academic community. The candidate must be able to demonstrate how her/his faith commitment is lived out in the context of Social Work education. The college is particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and have demonstrated commitment to improving the levels of engagement and success for underrepresented students within higher education.
Responsibilities: Primary oversight of the Social Work BSW program. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising, directing, and managing field education; leading the work on CSWE accreditation; advising students, overseeing budget, and conducting department meetings; working with a student leadership club; developing and implementing program objectives, goals, and assessment for the department; and providing overall leadership to our Social Work program.
Primary teaching responsibilities are in Social Work. Faculty member responsibilities include student advising and regular service on college governance committees. The candidate will teach at our main campus in Greenville, Illinois. The standard teaching load for this position is 12 credit hours per semester. This position will work with another full time faculty member who will directly serve as the Field Coordinator for the social work program.
Compensation: Salary is based on academic background and experience.
