Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Business Assistant for the School of Criminal Justice’s Dean’s Office.
The Business Assistant will report to the Business Manager and will be responsible for the daily processing of various financial documents and carrying out the daily business and fiscal operations of the School of Criminal Justice.
The duties of the Business Assistant include but are not limited to: - Responsibility for key access and monitoring for SCJ. - Maintaining accurate records and accounting of all expended funds, reconcile accounts monthly, and prepare internal reports with the exception of grants and contracts, this position will as directed by the Associate Dean for Finance and Administration. - Collaborate with the Business Manager to maintain accurate records of hourly employees for all fund areas of the school. - Serve as the main preparer in SciQuest and coordinate all related administrative work and follow-up with the Purchasing Department, Disbursement Control, vendors, and all other business contacts.
