The Program Coordinator coordinates and provides administrative support to an ongoing program at the University. Coordinates program to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. Coordinates program events in support of student recruitment, developing partnerships, and strengthening relationships.
Coordinates program activities and events, including but not limited to, managing online cadet registration; registering Basic Peace Officers for courses and completes file setups; prepares/submits invoices and/or process timely invoice payments; coordinates and process payroll for Class Instructors and assist with hiring activity; coordinates program's contract billing process; prepares and/or oversees activity for program's graduating events; and obtains and stays abreast of governmental and other local agencies guidelines that may impact program activities (may require travel).
Enters accurate and up-to-date information in the program's database system.
Reviews records and activity reports to ensure progress is being accomplished toward program objectives, i.e., grant management and reporting, audit preparation, etc. Recommends modifications to methods or procedures as required to redirect activities and ensure that objectives are attained.
Develops metrics and analytical data for Center's activity.
Will assist with Veterans Certification activity. Maintain accurate and up-to-date info for veterans.
Knowledge and/or experience in a Criminal Justice Program preferred
Knowledge of egrants and PeopleSoft System (HR and Financial) preferred
Knowledge of TCOLE and TCLEDDS reporting preferred
Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position
Candidates must have strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and the ability to undertake complex planning
Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
Minimum of three (3) years of job-related experience
