Posting Summary: The Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy is looking fora highly-skilled and motivated individual to work as a full-time Research Specialist with economics faculty at the Batten School. The Research Specialist will collaborate with faculty on a range of projects in applied microeconomics, including criminal justice, international development, health, education, and environmental policy. This is an ideal position for those interested in preparing for a Ph.D. in economics or public policy.
Most programming work will be done in Stata. Candidates with demonstrated programming experience in other languages and a willingness to learn Stata are welcome to apply. Experience with Matlab, Python, R, GIS, and Git are beneficial but not required.
The preferred start date for the position is June 1, 2017 but there is some flexibility if candidates need to start later in the summer. The position is for one year with renewal dependent on continued funding.
