Wells College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice position to support a new and growing Bachelor of Arts degree program. The successful candidate will teach theoretical and applied courses in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Juvenile Justice, and Corrections; develop new courses in their areas of expertise; and serve as program coordinator, which includes major/minor advising, senior theses supervision, and program assessment, among other duties. Applicants should be committed to innovative teaching and conscientious advising and display a record of scholarly contributions to the field. An earned Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field is required. The position will begin August 2017.
