CECH, School or Department of Innovative Technology and Learning Design is looking for a Computer User Support Specialist I. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.
Description Summary Under direct supervision from the Assistant Dean for Innovative Technology with a dotted line to the Dean, the Associate Director of Student Recruitment will provide leadership for the administrative and operational activities of the Office of Recruitment in The College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH); supervise and lead the Office of Recruitment in CECH; assist in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies, programs and events targeting a specific segment of students within an assigned area; research and identify prospective students; executes the CECH contact strategy for new inquiries and lead development.
Characteristic Duties Assist in the direction of the CECH Office of Recruitment with primary responsibilities for day to day operations and administrative management; responsible for undergraduate and graduate recruitment, both online and on-campus; proposes, plans, and schedules general recruitment activities and community outreach such as middle and high school visits, online recruiting, CRM communication plans, special events, informational fairs, and material distribution; manage the entry of prospect data, analyzes data and reports, respond to prospects inquiries, and research and implement solutions to communication or data breakdowns; recommend alternative guidelines when applicable; maintain and stay abreast of trends in recruiting and changes in academic programs; assist with develop of long-range plans and strategies to achieve unit, department and university goals for areas of responsibility, monitors and achieves established goals.
Execute the Cincinnati Online and CECH contact strategies for new inquiries and lead development on behalf of the university, college, or department.
Conduct telephone appointments to provide information on the institution's admissions process and requirements; conduct interviews to qualify candidates and to explain academic programs; provide excellent customer service to students through application, enrollment, start, and retention processes; monitor the application process from identifying a prospective student until the start of the student; assist in the execution of university and department Admissions Department organizational processes/procedures.
Consults with Assistant Dean for Innovative Technology on major policy changes affecting other departments; serve on various university, division and departmental committees; represent the college and University to various internal and external constituents; serve as the college resource to students and parents on university services and programs; explain and interpret college/program policies, procedures, and academic requirements.
Develop, implement and monitor assigned budgets; authority for function budget, revenue, and expense planning and approving expenditure; develop and implement responsive service programs.
Assist with administrative leadership; supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff in the Office of Recruitment; hire, orient, train, mentor and evaluate assigned staff; monitor and coordinate staff development and training programs; delegates duties and responsibilities.
Compile data required for internal and external reports and assessments; interpret and disseminate information, provide advice, assist in development of recruitment and promotional materials, deliver presentations, conduct workshops, ensure that all programs and services comply with university, state and federal regulations. Day travel may be required.
Maintain collaborative relationships with departments/units regarding recruitment efforts that enrich the student experience. Must be knowledgeable of all Accrediting Agencies, Federal, and State laws relating to student recruitment and admission. This includes the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (SARA) and online learning communities.
Perform related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in related educational program, student affairs administration, or other related field with three (3) years' experience; –OR- Bachelor's degree with five (5) years' experience; Experience may also require at least one (1) year supervision. May require experience in international admissions and/or minority recruitment.
