Description Summary Under general supervision from the Associate Director of Student Recruitment the Office of Recruitment in The College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH); assist in the administrative and operational activities of the Office of Recruitment; assist in the operations and administration of recruitment strategies, programs and events targeting a specific segment of students within an assigned area; manage inquiry through new student life cycle.
Characteristic Duties Assist the Associate Director of Student Recruitment in the direction of the Office of Recruitment with primary responsibilities for facilitation of prospective students through the admissions process. Support the Associate Director of Student Recruitment in the day to day operations of the Office of Recruitment; implement program initiatives, answer questions and resolve complex issues; recommend alternative guidelines when applicable; maintain and stay abreast of trends in student recruiting and changes in academic programs; assist with development of long-range plans and strategies to achieve unit, department and university goals for areas of responsibility; monitor and achieve established goals.
Conduct telephone appointments to provide information on the institution and college's admissions process and requirements; conduct interviews to qualify candidates, explain academic programs, and assess prospective students' fit with program; provide excellent customer service to students through application, enrollment, and initial term start; monitor the application process from initial application submission through the first term of enrollment; implement lead management strategies from inquiry through start of first term; effectively use CRM to track interactions and progression of all leads; support new students through registration completion; assist in the execution of university Admissions Department organizational processes/procedures.
Assist in the determination of internal rules, policies, procedures, controls, and manage processes to advance service levels. Achieve daily key performance indicators related to speed to lead, call management, and applications vetted.
Represent the Office of Recruitment at state and national professional meetings, college fairs, etc. to generate referrals as needed. Day travel may be required.
Maintain collaborative relationships with departments/units regarding recruitment efforts that enrich the student experience.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree with three (3) years' experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of college admissions and recruitment preferred.
Experience may also require at least one (1) year in an outbound recruitment office.
