In this role you will support the Director of Financial Crime and MLRO in all aspects of financial crime prevention across the M&G Group of companies acting as Deputy where appropriate.
Your Key Responsibilities...
* You will support and coordinate the completion of all financial crime risk assessments and establish financial crime controls in support of the business strategy. * You will support the Director of Financial Crime in the assessment of financial crime risks (ABC, Fraud, AML and CTF) and the embedding of controls liaising with key stakeholders as appropriate. * You will assess the impact of emerging regulation and legislation and oversee its implementation across all work streams. * As appropriate, act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders in relation to financial crime issues. * Deputise for the Director of Financial Crime/MLRO as appropriate making decisions on escalations. * Support in the preparation of the annual MLRO and Financial Crime reports. * Prepare and submit financial crime management information to MLRO/Director of Financial Crime. * Review financial crime policies and procedures * You will provide support to the wider financial crime prevention team in the day to day management and functionality of financial crime risks and controls as appropriate, including Sanctions and PEP Screening. * To support in the oversight of key third party suppliers' financial crime systems and controls ensuring compliance with M&G financial crime policies and regulatory requirements. * Promote M&G's values and culture within the financial crime team. * Process and escalate sensitive or complex issues, ensuring that work is completed accurately and follows specified procedures, standards and relevant external regulations. * Support in the provision of regular management information to the business of key financial crime risks and actions being taken to mitigate those risks. * Represent M&G, as appropriate, at external forums, conferences and discussion groups. * Liaise with Law enforcement in the submission of Suspicious Activity Reports to the NCA or other law enforcement to comply with the legislative and regulatory requirements.

You should hold an industry qualification to an advanced or Diploma level in at least one of the technical areas (AML & Sanctions, ABC, Fraud).
Knowledge & Experience
* Extensive knowledge of all areas of financial crime (AML, Sanctions, AB&C and Fraud) * Significant experience in financial crime prevention. * Significant experience of the financial services industry and knowledge of associated financial crime risks. (Ideally asset management). * Experience in a senior role with responsibility for financial crime prevention.
